The Albert Lea boys’ basketball team lost 78-46 Friday at Rochester John Marshall.

Albert Lea head coach Lucas Kreuscher said the Rockets caught fire from beyond the arc.

“They hit 12 3-pointers and just shot lights-out,” he said. “They were clicking on all cylinders.”

At halftime, the Tigers trailed by 20 points.

Cody Scherff and Tesloch Kuey led Albert Lea with 12 points each. Dedoch Chan added five points.

Albert Lea (2-5 overall, 1-3 Big Nine Conference) will play next at 3 p.m. Friday against Mounds View at the Windom tournament.

The Mustangs (4-3 overall, 1-3 Suburban East Conference) are coming off a 71-69 home win over Woodbury.
