7 steps to getting America on track

I am not the brightest bulb on the block. However, it does not take a genius to realize that America’s economy is in disarray. There are many reasons for this mess. Both political parties, unions, multinational banks, corporations and government bureaucracies all are to blame.
Each of the following steps could provide or retain tens of thousands or more jobs.
1. Tax liabilities on funds held by multinational corporations in foreign countries shall be forgiven, if the funds are used to create American jobs.
2. Obamacare is the greatest job-killer this country has ever witnessed. Medical care for the poor must be provided, but destroying the economy in the process is intolerable.
3. America has energy. Let’s use it. There was oil shortage; we were lied to. Open oil fields to drilling. Put strict, reasonable, environmental rules in place and enforce them. With new methods of drilling, there is no reason to import any oil. America should be an oil exporter. An energy boom will create thousands of new jobs. With American ingenuity even clean coal is possible. Cheap energy is the key to jobs.
Clean energy is the future. We must invest in and develop it.
4. Taxes are destroying the middle class. Balancing the budget on the backs of the rich is flawed. The rich will safeguard their wealth. If taxes get too high they will take their wealth and industrial plants and play in someone else’s sandbox. America cannot tax its way to prosperity.
If an individual has more money in his or her pocket at the end of the week, because of lower taxes, he or she will spend it, creating a demand for goods, creating more jobs. More jobs equal more tax payers, resulting in smaller deficits.
5. Eliminate excessively restrictive rules and regulations government agencies are placing on job creators. The EPA is, without congressional oversight, implementing regulations that are strangling our economy.
America can have a robust economy and still have clean air, water and safe working conditions.
6. Implement drug testing programs for all unemployment and welfare recipients. Test positive and you’re out. Why should I pay for someone’s drug habit?
Able-bodied persons receiving unemployment or welfare must actively look for work, be enrolled in school, maintaining a 2.0 grade average, in fields with legitimate employment potential, or do community service. There shall be no free rides. Tough, but we must get people off the welfare train. It’s destroying our moral fiber. The number of citizens depending on food stamps is deplorable. America must do better!
7. America must reconsider foreign aid programs. Yes, some are necessary. But America must take care of its own first. Borrowing money from China to support unfriendly government is ludicrous. Our best defense is a strong vibrant economy. If the funds wasted on foreign aid were used to rebuild America’s infrastructure, thousands more jobs would be created.
The thought of America in debt should offend every American!
