The Albert Lea girls’ basketball team lost its second game of the season Tuesday 63-54 at Austin.

The Tigers were led by Megan Kortan, who had 24 points and nine rebounds. Bryn Woodside earned a team-high four steals to go with 15 points and four assists, and Sydney Rehnelt led Albert Lea with five assists to go with eight points, six rebounds and three steals.

At halftime, the Tigers trailed 35-33, but Austin out-scored them 28-21 in the second half.

Next, Albert Lea (1-2 overall, 0-1 Big Nine Conference) will host Red Wing at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Red Wing (2-1 overall, 0-0 Missota Conference) is coming off a 66-39 win at Austin.
