A: Hockey is the only sport that I play, but I used to play soccer.

Q: What is your favorite part of playing hockey?

A: Just being with the team and having fun on the ice.

Q: What has playing hockey taught you?

A: It’s taught me teamwork and to be myself.

Q: What number are you?

A: No. 4.

Q: How did you get started in hockey?

A: I was 4 years old when my dad got me into it.

Q: What sports did your family members play?

A: My dad played hockey for Roy (Nystrom) when he was in high school, so that’s kind of cool. My mom played basketball and volleyball.

Q: What are your college plans?

A: I want to go to a university. I don’t know what I want to major in yet, but I want to be a chiropractor. It’s a four-year degree with two years of extra schooling.

Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete? Why?

A: Patrick Kane from the Blackhawks because of his hands. The way he moves around the ice and his shot, too — I’d like to be able to do that.

Q: What is your favorite school subject?

A: Right now, I like math. Throughout the years, I haven’t. But this year math has been interesting for me. I’m taking Precalculus.

Q: Who is your favorite teacher?

A: Kevin Gentz or Jim Haney.

Q: What are your hobbies?

A: I like to longboard in the summer and paintball.

Q: What is your dream job?

A: To be a chiropractor.

Q: What is your favorite TV show?

A: “NHL 36.” It follows an NHL player around for 36 hours and tells you what they do. It’s on NHL Network.

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: Pizza, for sure. I like pepperoni.

Q: What is an interesting fact about you?

A: I got battery acid in my eye this summer. I was putting a new battery in my jetski, and there’s a cap that I pulled. You’re supposed to pull it before you put the acid in there, but I pulled it after.

Q: How did you clean out your eye?

A: I went to the hospital, and they sprayed it with saline water for 45 minutes.
