Albert Lea senior girls’ basketball player plans to attend Winona State University

Q: What year are you in school?

A: Senior.

Q: What school do you attend?

A: Albert Lea.

 

Q: Who is your immediate family?

A: My grandparents and my younger sister Larissa, who is in 11th grade.

 

Q: What sports are you involved in?

A: I play basketball, tennis and track and field.

 

Q: What is your favorite part of playing basketball?

A: I like the teamwork, the team bonding and the friends I’ve made.

 

Q: What has playing basketball taught you?

A: It’s taught me to communicate and have trust in other people.

 

Q: What number are you?

A: 24.

 

Q: How did you get started in basketball?

A: A couple of my friends were in it, so they got me into it.

 

Q: What sports did your family members play?

A: Larissa plays basketball and softball.

 

Q: What are your sports-related achievements? 

A: My first year of tennis I made the varsity team, so that was nice.

 

Q: What are your sports-related goals? 

A: Starting varsity for basketball was a goal, and I achieved that so it felt good.

 

Q: What are your college plans? 

A: I plan to go to Winona State University, and hopefully I can run for their track team.

 

Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete? Why?

A: Adrian Peterson. I love football. He’s just a good athlete, and he stays positive.

 

Q: What is your favorite school subject? 

A: Spanish. It’s a little difficult but I enjoy it.

 

Q: Who is your favorite teacher? 

A: Margo Wayne. She’s never had a bad day. She’s always positive no matter what’s going on in her life.

 

Q: What are your hobbies? 

A: I like figure skating.

 

Q: What is your dream job?

A: I’d like to be a surgeon or any type of doctor. I want to help people out.

 

Q: What is your favorite TV show?

A: “Teen Wolf.”

 

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: Alfredo with broccoli.

 

Q: What is an interesting fact about you?

A: I can eat no matter what. I love eating.
