A: My parents are Larry and Roseann, and then I have sisters Amelia, Renee, Elizabeth, Rachel and Evelyn and a brother, Patrick.

Q: What sports are you involved in?

A: Swimming, and I just joined track and field last year, and I pole vault for that.

Q: How long have you been swimming?

A: Since fifth grade.

Q: What is your favorite part of swimming?

A: My favorite part is being at practice on the team and being able to swim with my teammates.

Q: What has swimming on the team taught you?

A: It’s taught me that even though it’s an individual sport, you still have to work with your team to go further.

Q: How did you get started swimming?

A: My mom wanted me to play a sport, and my sister (Renee) started swimming when we were living in New York because her friends were doing it. She wanted me to swim with her so I just went with it and stuck with it.

Q: What sports did your family members play?

A: My sister, Renee, swam. My dad did karate, and my mom ran cross country and track.

Q: What are your sports-related achievements?

A: I made sections last year.

Q: What are your sports-related goals?

A: I want to make it to state in my relay, the 200-yard medley. The other swimmers are Preston Smith, Daniel Gould and Derek Wagner.

Q: Are you happy with the times you’re getting so far?

A: Yeah, I just need to drop a few more seconds.

Q: What are your college plans?

A: I’ve been accepted to the University of Minnesota, but I’m undecided. I want to do something related to business, but I’m not sure yet.

Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete? Why?

A: I’ve got to go with Michael Phelps. He’s won so many gold medals, and it’s fun to watch him swim.

Q: What is your favorite school subject?

A: Math. I’m taking calculus now.

Q: Who is your favorite teacher?

A: Kevin Gentz, my math teacher. He’s also the track coach, and he’s really helpful in that as well.

Q: What are your hobbies?

A: I play trombone in the marching band, and I spend whatever free time I have with friends.

Q: What is your dream job?

A: President of the United States of America.

Q: What is your favorite TV show?

A: I’ve been really into “Dexter” lately. I found it on Netflix. I’ve got to say, overall I really like “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” That show is hilarious.

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: Junk food in general. I just love it.

Q: What is an interesting fact about you?

A: I lived in New York for a year. I have a lot of family out there. It was up-state New York with mountains and trees. The town was Glens Falls.
