The Naeve Alumni and Nurse’s Club announces 10 scholarships available to area graduating seniors or individuals who have successfully completed one year of education in a registered nursing program. Each of the scholarships are in the amount of $1,000.

Scholarships to be awarded are: Jennie (Nelson) Haertel, Evelyn (Opdahl) Stadheim, Lois (Hagen) Christensen, Justine Willmert, Jean (Thrun) Godtland, Imogene (Johnson) Bradshaw, class of 1963 in memory of Darlene Follmuth Kvam, Sharon Herth Davis and Camilla Songstad Hauge, and three from the Naeve Alumni and Nurse’s Club.

Applications must be received by April 1.

Applications can be obtained from high school counselors or principals. Applications also can be obtained by contacting Rosie Rasmussen at 377-3683 or my email at jrrassen@charter.net.

Factors to be considered by the scholarship committee are academics, community involvement and demonstrated leadership of the applicant.

The scholarships will be awarded at the club’s annual luncheon on April 26. The recipients will be expected to attend.
