Victoria Mary Wilder, 95, of Wells, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at the Shepherd’s Inn in Wells. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells with a prayer service at 4 p.m. The Rev. Thomas Niehaus will officiate and interment will be in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery in Wells. Please see www.brussheitner.com to leave online condolences. Victoria Wilder was born May 14, 1918, in Wells the daughter of John J. and Magdalen (Yokiel) Dulas. She was raised on a farm near Wells. She attended St. Casimir Parochial School through eighth grade. Victoria was united in marriage to Eugene Wilder at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells on Oct. 24, 1938, and together they raised five children. Victoria was a homemaker all her life. She enjoyed gardening, painting, quilting and dancing. She was very proud of the weed-free front lawn and flowers around the house.
Victoria is survived by her children Mary Alice (LaVoy) Ebnet of New Richland, Donald (Carol) Wilder of Wells, Jeff Wilder of Rochester and Julie (Dan) Sonnek of Mankato; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two stepgrandsons; and one foreign exchange granddaughter from Germany.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two siblings in infancy; brother, Norbert; daughter, Marlene; and husband, Eugene.
