The fifth annual Big Freeze Medallion Hunt kicks off with clues Monday. The Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce is the sponsor of the hunt. The finder of the medalion receives $300 in Chamber Bucks.
Look for clues daily in the Tribune starting Monday. The same clues will be posted online at 7 a.m. each day of the week — unless the medallion is found.
The Big Freeze, a winter festival, takes places at Edgewater Bay Pavilion on Fountain Lake. The event features a plunge into cold lake water, ice fishing with children, disc golfing, chili cookoff, geocaching, horse-drawn wagon rides, tractor ride, snowshoe walk, children’s carnival, activities for preschool children and live music in the evening by Rush Hour.
Food and beverage services are provided by 112 on Broadway.
A full schedule with times can be found in the Events Calendar on Page 3A.
