The Freeborn County Republican Party announced that its caucuses on Feb. 4 at Southwest Middle School had the highest percentage turnout of any of any political gathering in Minnesota that night, citing the Minnesota Secretary of State.

Jerrold Dettle, one of the leaders of the Freeborn County Republican Party, sent the announcement to party members last week. It did not state what the turnout percentage was.

“Everyone contributed greatly and if we maintain and grow the momentum, (Shannon) Savick and (Tim) Walz will be replaced!” he wrote.
