Hy-Vee expands into Twin Cities market; stores in 8 states

NEW HOPE — Midwestern grocery chain Hy-Vee is getting into the Twin Cities market.
Hy-Vee said Monday it will add several new stores in the Twin Cities over the next several years, including one under development in New Hope. The Des Moines, Iowa, company has 236 stores in eight states. The grocer has a major presence in southern Minnesota and has 17 stores in the state.
Hy-Vee will have competition in the Twin Cities market from Cub Foods, Walmart and Target.
