Special Kids Special Love, an Autism support group, will sponsor a northern Iowa community safety event from 1 to 2 p.m. April 5 at Newman Catholic Elementary School in Mason City. The event aims to educate the community on how to recognize a person with autism or other special needs and how to respond to them in emergency situations.
