Memorial services for Joyce “Joy” Wilder of Minneapolis will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Theodore Catholic Church in Albert Lea. The Revs. Timothy T. Reker and Mike Ellis will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in St. Casimir’s Catholic Cemetery in Wells.

Joyce died Feb. 28, 2014, at the Augustana Nursing Home in Minneapolis. She was 65.

Joyce was born Feb. 6, 1948, in Michigan, the daughter of Clement (Bud) and Mary (Kent) Wilder. She graduated from Albert Lea High School. After graduation she moved to Minneapolis, where she worked as a nurse’s aid in area nursing homes. Joyce was a very active and devoted member of the St. Olaf Catholic Church in Minneapolis. She loved to play cards, had a great sense of humor, enjoyed reading and during the summer months, was an avid Minnesota Twins fan. Her special time was always with her nieces and nephews.

Joyce is survived by her mother, Mary Wilder of Wells, brothers and sisters Dr. Larry (Miriam) Wilder of Williston, N.D., Chuck (Karen) Wilder of Albert Lea, Ron (Beth) Wilder of Alden, Ken (Sheryl) Wilder of Waseca, Dave (Cari) Wilder of St. Cloud, Tim (Nancy) Wilder of Warrens, Wis., Kathy (Eric) Batt of Fishers, Ind. There are 24 nieces and nephews, 17 great nieces and nephews and many aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her father “Bud” and her grandparents.
