Sick of winter? Head to the beach party at the Ross Center

A local band is looking to help area residents warmup … at least in spirit.

The DC Drifters are hosting a beach party themed concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center, 147 N. Broadway Ave, Albert Lea.

DC Drifters guitarist and vocalist Dennis Charnecki said the show will feature “a lot of entertainment to take you away from the winter and bring you on the warm beach.”

The show will feature music made famous by The Beach Boys, Jimmy Buffett and Bob Marley, plus full beach-inspired set.

“We brought everything that pertains to warm weather and the beach,” Charnecki said.

Charnecki said the show will feature Tori Wagoner as “The Hula Hoop Queen,” full Beach Boys harmonies and a few surprises.

“It’s going to be a blast,” Charnecki said
