The Albert Lea boys’ hockey team presented awards March 11 at Wedgewood Golf Club. From left are Alex Claassen, Brady Loch and Garrett Matz. The trio will be captains for the Tigers next season. The Big Nine Conference recognized Matz and Van Zelenak as All-Conference selections, and three Tigers were All-Conference honorable mention: Lucas Peterson, Dalton Flatness and Andrew Thompson. Zelenak won the team MVP award, Peterson won the Hardest Worker award, Jack Pulley won the Most Improved Player award and Adam Syverson won the Hobey Baker award. — Submitted
