District 27A Rep. Shannon Savick, DFL-Wells, will escort Gov. Mark Dayton onto the floor of the House of Representatives for his State of the State address Wednesday evening.

Once each year, the governor gives an address to a joint meeting of the Legislature. The address will begin at 7 p.m.

“This is an incredible honor,” Savick said in a news release. “We’ve made good progress in the Legislature over the last two years for the people of Minnesota and the people in our district. A significant part of that progress is due to Gov. Dayton’s leadership. I look forward to hearing his comments on the House floor.”

Savick will share the responsibility with a handful of colleagues in the state Senate and House.
