Suzette Denise Lutteke, 49, of Wells died Thursday, April 10, 2014, at her home. A mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. The Rev. Thomas Niehaus will officiate and burial will be at St. Casimir Cemetery. Please see www.brussheitner.com to leave online condolences. Suzie was born March 22, 1965, the daughter of Stanley and Dorothy (Giese) Stenzel. She grew up on a farm and loved caring for her horses. Suzie graduated from Freeborn High School in 1983.

She was united in marriage to Todd M. Lutteke on April 12, 1986, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, and to this union three children were born. The couple later divorced. She worked for State Farm Insurance, Lamperts and provided daycare from her home. Most recently she worked as an LPN at the Albert Lea Clinic. She was currently attending school to become a medical coder. Suzie was often outdoors and enjoyed her time trail riding, gardening, fishing, camping and even shoveling snow. She liked to sew, scrapbook and do crafts. Most importantly, Suzie loved to spend time with her family.

Suzie is survived by her children Brooke (Mike Kubat) Lutteke of Grand Meadow, Travis Lutteke of Cresco, Iowa, and Whitney (Jonny Kraling) Lutteke of Wells; siblings Steven (Julie) Stenzel of Wells, Larry (Juanita) Stenzel of Wells, Rita (Ed) Niebuhr of Wells, Diane (Fran) Baudoin of Dexter, Cindy (Mike) Weber of Wells and Teresa (Mark) Halbach of Northwood; 16 nieces and nephews, Ben, Josh, Kayla and David Stenzel, Angie (Tyler) Pierson, Darin (Calli) Stenzel, Anthony Stenzel, Crysta, Jordan and Felicia Niebuhr, Elana (Mat) Lyrek, Colette Baudoin, Carly and Delaney Weber and Marisa and Gavin Halbach; aunts and uncles Therese McCue, Virginia Deyle, Lois Stenzel, Victor Stenzel, Marvin (Joyce) Stenzel, Dennis (Laura) Stenzel, Marilyn Stenzel, Dorine Miller and Mildred Long.

She was preceded in death by her parents; aunt, Kathy Stenzel and uncles Emil and LeRoy Stenzel.
