I’ve noticed there have been a couple of letters to the editor recently attacking state Rep. Shannon Savick by David Anderson of Lonsdale. It got me to wondering why someone from just south of the Twin Cities metro area would be so worried about our local representative. Surely there must be politicians closer to Lonsdale to attack, like maybe in his own district. Anyway, I decided to do a little Google search, and what I found was interesting.

It seems that David Anderson from Lonsdale is the Minnesota editor for GOPUSA. So what is GOPUSA? From what I can find out, it is a privately held corporation based in Houston, Texas. Its goal is to spread its conservative message throughout America. Funny he didn’t mention anything about this in his letters to the editor.

Maybe next time David Anderson can be a little more forthcoming. But then again maybe he and the Freeborn County Republican Party wouldn’t want the voters of District 27A to know the whole story?
