2 teenagers arrested for stolen pickup

HOLLANDALE — Freeborn County sheriff’s deputies arrested two teenagers for stealing a 2005 maroon Chevy extended-cab pickup Tuesday morning.

Authorities received a report about the missing pickup at 5:22 a.m. Tuesday from 107 W. Amsterdam Ave. in Hollandale. The pickup was later reported doing doughnuts in a field off of 270th Street south of Hollandale.

The truck was abandoned in a field, and authorities later found the teenagers, who were 15 and 16.

 

3 arrested for drugs at Harmony Park

Freeborn County sheriff’s deputies arrested Mohammed Abdi Ibrahim, 26, for felony drug possession at 12:58 a.m. Sunday at Harmony Park, 79503 29th St.

Richard Mark Christensen, 46, was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine at 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Jamie Lynn Hickey, 30, was arrested for fifth-degree cocaine possession, fifth-degree LSD possession, a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Deputies received multiple requests to help get disorderly people out of the music venue.

 

Vehicles broken into

A vehicle was reported broken into at 6:46 a.m. Tuesday at 102 N. Fourth Ave. in Albert Lea. Multiple items were reported stolen, including a $30 in cash, lottery tickets and a backpack.

A vehicle was reported broken into at 12:23 p.m. Tuesday at 210 S. Third Ave. The break-in occurred between 1 and 6:30 a.m.

A vehicle parked at Ken’s Service & Auto Repair, 226 E. Clark St., was reported reported broken into sometime overnight on Monday.

 

Door kicked in at house

A door was reported kicked in at 6:17 p.m. Tuesday at 711 Plainview Lane. Nothing was taken from the residence.

 

4 arrested for domestic assault

Freeborn County sheriff’s deputies arrested Troy James Habana for domestic assault at 9:11 p.m. Tuesday at 201 W. Second St., Hayward.

Albert Lea police arrested Mary Johnson, 64, and David Henry Simpson, 59, for domestic assault and disorderly conduct at 7:14 p.m. Tuesday at 223 E. Third St.

Freeborn County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Dylan James Bartel for domestic assault and felony false imprisonment at 7:09 p.m. Monday for a reported assault the day before.

 

Gas drive-offs reported

Two gas drive-offs were reported at 23087 Minnesota Highway 13 on Tuesday. In the first, at 2:42 a.m., about $25 in gasoline was taken. In the second, the driver of a gold Chevy Tahoe reportedly left at 7:13 a.m. after taking about $64 in gasoline.

A gas drive-off was reported at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday at 122 Bridge Ave. About $10 in gasoline was taken.

 

Tires scattered over roadway

More than 100 tires were reported scattered all over roads, ditches and fields in Newry Township from Red Oak Grove Church to Freeborn County Road 34 at 12:51 p.m. Sunday. The tires were pulled off the road.

 

Items reported stolen

A flowerpot was reported stolen at 9:14 a.m. Tuesday from 605 Cherry Ave.

A license plate was reported stolen from a motorcycle at 80268 River Road S.E. in Glenville at 12:16 p.m. Monday.
