ELLENDALE — Ellendale Days returns this summer for four days. Participants can enjoy a variety of activities from Thursday and Sunday in Ellendale to take part in a celebration of hometown pride.

This year there will be activities such as Paint Till You Faint, which has been going on for a few years now at Country Charms Ceramics. This event takes place during normal business hours, which is 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Three bands will perform at Ellendale Days. The Dan Stursa Polka Band will play 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The Murphy Bros. Band will play from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday, and the Tomcats will play 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday.

On Friday, there will be an outdoor family movie. Either “Frozen” or “The Lego Movie” will be shown.

The parade starts at 4 p.m. Saturday. The parade will be followed by turtle races, bingo and several other events.

There will also be dodgeball tournaments, a tractor pull and a bean bag tournament.

 

Thursday June 26:

6-9 p.m.: Dan Stursa Polka Band at Ellendale Muni

8-10 p.m.: Meat raffle at Ellendale Muni

Drop off military items at the Veterans Museum

 

Friday June 27:

1-7 p.m.: Petting zoo, empty lot West of Floors 4 U

10 a.m.-11 p.m.: Paint Till You Faint

10 a.m.-8 p.m. Veterans Memorial Museum

4-7 p.m.: Tacos at the Methodist Church

5 p.m.: Karaoke at Ellendale Muni

6:30 p.m.: Dodge Ball at Ellendale School

8-10 p.m.: Meat Raffle at Ellendale Muni

8-midnight: Murphy Bros Band at Ellendale Muni

7-10 p.m.: Family Movie night, Ellendale Community Center

 

Saturday June 28:

All day: Citywide Garage Sales

8 a.m.: 5K Fun Run

8 a.m.: Breakfast burrito, Ellendale Bus Garage

9 a.m.: Farmers market, empty lot east of the Muni

9 a.m.-3 p.m.: Car show, Ellendale Bus Garage

10 a.m.-11 p.m.: Paint Till You Faint

10 a.m.-8 p.m.: Veterans Memorial Museum

11 a.m.: Pizza by the slice at 5th Avenue Pizza

Noon: Car judging, Ellendale Bus Garage

11 a.m.-noon: Bean bag toss contest, Register station

Noon-4 p.m.: Inflatables, east of the Fire Department

4 p.m.: Ellendale Day Parade

After the Parade: Turtle races, outside of bank; pedal pull and kids games outside of Community Center; Lions bingo until 7 p.m., lot east of Ellendale Muni

5-7 p.m.:  Pork chop supper, Ellendale Community Center

8 p.m.: Teen dance, Ellendale Community Center

8 p.m.-midnight: Street dance, Tom Cats, Ellendale Muni

 

Sunday June 29:

8:30-11 a.m.: Pancake breakfast, Ellendale Community Center

9 a.m.-noon: Veterans Memorial Museum

11 a.m.: Tractor pull, north side of the Ellendale Bus Garage
