A memorial service for Linda Sharon Witter will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Bonnerup Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Robert Bailey will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Online condolences are welcome at www.bonnerupfuneralservice.com.

Linda passed away at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester on Sunday, July 20, 2014. She was 65.

Linda was born on July 27, 1948, to Lyle and Bernetta Hanson in Albert Lea. The family grew up in the Hollandale area. Linda attended and graduated Albert Lea High School.  After her schooling, she was united in marriage to William Dean Witter on Oct. 25, 1969, in Blue Earth.

Linda enjoyed many things in life. She liked playing bingo, going out to have coffee with family and friends and shopping — especially rummage sales. She always seemed to find the best deals and acquired quite a collection of porcelain dolls. Linda liked to watch TV and hardly missed an episode of “Wheel of Fortune.” Relay for Life was very important to Linda, as her son was diagnosed and later passed away from cancer at a young age. Most of all, she was very proud of her family.

She is preceded in death by her son, Scott; father, Lyle Hanson; mother in-law, Mable Lewis; and father in-law, Lester Witter.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, William; children Lisa (Lupe) Reyes, William Witter Jr., Dustin Witter, Michael (Norma) Witter and Mark (Christine) Witter; grandchildren Alicia Reyes, Regin Reyes, William Reyes, Dallas Reyes, Spencer Witter, Logan Witter, Kylie Witter and Michael Witter Jr.; a great-grandchild, Owen Witter; mother, Bernetta Hanson; and siblings Dean (Diane) Hanson, Debra (Lance) Vitha and Lyle (Angela) Hanson.
