The Albert Lea Youth Baseball Association’s U11 team was the South Central League champion. Albert Lea also won its end-of-season tournament June 19 at Mapleton. The team defeated Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton 5-1 in the tournament opener. In its second game, Albert Lea beat a team from the Quad Cities in Iowa 2-1 in 10 innings. Albert Lea finished the tournament by winning the championship game 10-1 against Waseca. — Provided
