Like it or not, it is the season for yard signs. It started early and will continue till November. It is so easy to get caught up in sign placement, numbers and who has whose signs.

The bottom line is, signs don’t win elections, votes do!

An informed voter will make the right decision for themselves and for the residents of our county. To be that informed voter please attend the candidate forum to be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 6 at Albert Lea City Hall. Written questions from those in attendance will be taken by the sheriff and his two challengers and the 6th ward council candidates.

I believe it will become obvious who is the most educated, professional experienced and qualified for the job of sheriff.

Please attend, listen decide and then vote in the Aug. 12 primary.
