Cars to be shown during Wind Down Wednesday
Representatives from electric car company Tesla Motors will travel down to Albert Lea on Wednesday to show the public more about their cutting-edge cars.
The representatives will bring with them a couple Model S cars, as well as a few members of a Tesla owners club from the Twin Cities, said Rich Murray, president of ISC Financial Advisors.
They will explain about the various features of the car, and a few people might also have the chance to test drive one of them, Murray said.
He said the idea came about after his company held a similar event for its clients up in the Edina area.
“Then I got to thinking, I wonder if we could bring that to Albert Lea,” Murray said.
But instead of just having it for clients, the event will be open to the public.
The cars will be set up from 4 to 7 p.m. in front of ISC Financial Advisors, on the north end of Broadway across from the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center, during Wind Down Wednesday.
Cookies and punch will be served.
Albert Lea is already the home of four superchargers at the AmericInn on the north side of Albert Lea.
