Bennett will be reliable leader

We’ve all heard the term “buyer’s remorse.” What it means is that you have purchased something and now you’re not happy with the product. It might be a cleaning product that a fast-talking salesman with a 1-800 number encouraged you to buy.

However, there is also “voter’s remorse.” This means that you are not happy with the candidate you voted for because he or she made promises that he or she was unable to keep.

This past year I have been involved with Peggy Bennett’s campaign for Minnesota House District 27A. At the beginning of the campaign I was an acquaintance of Peggy’s. However, I was willing to support her for the following reasons.

One, I knew she was a great teacher. As a teacher she had to be a team player, resourceful and have communication skills. Second, I knew she was honest and would stick to her values. Third, she knows how to listen and is eager to learn.

The best part of the campaign has been meeting the many people who have confidence in Peggy: parents, students, former students, friends, neighbors and coworkers. These people show up to walk in parades, put up yard signs or just share positive feelings about her.

I’m not a salesman, but I think I can confidently say you will not have voter’s remorse if you vote for Peggy Bennett. Her promise is: “People before politics.”
