Read the letter again, please

To the gentleman who responded to my complaint about noise from the street dance(s), you obviously did not read my letter. I enjoy the fact that there are young families living here. That keeps a town alive. Yes, there are a lot of retired folks here, but it’s their children and grandchildren who will continue to keep this town alive.
That being said, we all need to live in the same town and respect each other. I like having things for people to do around town, old to young. You know if the seniors in this community had a polka band playing in the middle of town that you could hear all across town until midnight, people would be complaining. I enjoyed the music I was hearing, but I was also trying to work, some were trying to sleep.
You may be one of those people who believes everyone should hear the bass on your car stereo from over a block away also. This is a nice community, I would like to see it stay that way, but there has to be a limit on what goes on. There would have been nothing wrong with turning the music down after 10 p.m. I didn’t say to turn it off, just be respectful of other people. People should try it sometime; it actually can make you feel good about yourself.
