I heard another mudslinging half-truth advertisement today saying that Peggy Bennett would take away your Social Security if she is elected. The truth is all state representatives can do is determine how much of your Social Security is taxed by the state. Shannon Savick has made sure that you are taxed on all of it. Minnesota is one of only 10 states that tax all Social Security payments just like the federal government does.
