DFL Legislature benefitted Albert Lea

I hope that the voters of District 27A will remember what was accomplished by the Democrats in the last two years. These are a few of the highlights:
The Legislature paid back the money the previous Legislature, under Republican rule, borrowed from the schools. This payback is good for our local schools.
The Legislature funded all-day kindergarten. This is good for our students and local schools.
The Legislature and governor provided increased funding to our local nursing homes. This is good for our local seniors in nursing homes and the people who work there.
The Legislature and governor provided long-sought funding for the dredging of Fountain Lake. This is good for our residents and for our local economy.
The Legislature and governor balanced the budget without gimmicks or shutdowns. They raised taxes on the richest 2 percent who can best afford to pay those taxes. Living within our means is good for the state.
Let’s not go back to gimmicks, gridlock and shutdowns.
Please vote for Rep. Shannon Savick and Gov. Mark Dayton. Let’s do what is best for our district and for our state.
