Mark W. Heim, 48, of Austin died Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
Mark Wayne Heim was born Sept. 24, 1966, in Austin, the son of Ronald Heim Sr. and Gertrude (Heemsbergen) Reitveld. Mark graduated from Austin High School with the class of 1985.
He married Jan Low June 27, 1987, in Austin. Mark and Jan have owned and operated Ankeny’s Mini Mart No. 1 in Austin for the past 14 years and he was also a printing salesman with J-C Press of Owatonna for 23 years.
Mark was a member of Cornerstone Church in Austin. He was a huge fan of all Minnesota sports, he loved to golf, snowmobile, play softball, kickball, football and broomball. He enjoyed four-wheeling, mud bogging, hiking and riding his motorcycle. Most of all, Mark loved spending time with his family and friends. His favorite band was Stryper, and he traveled all over the United States to see them. He would drop everything he was doing to be there for his family and friends. He was great at giving biblically sound advice and lending a listening ear when you needed it. He touched many lives in his short time on Earth and the world is a better place because of him. He will be greatly missed!
