Savick is tied to metro interests

A letter writer recently gave Shannon Savick credit for helping solve the almost $6 billion budget deficit left by the Democrats in 2010. If you didn’t know she was not elected until 2012 you would still know she was not involved because there was not a $7 billion tax increase to solve the problem. Savick brags about solving deficits and creating a rainy day fund but forgets that she did it by raising taxes by over $2 billion. This tax increase was put on the backs of farmers and small businessmen and as a result Minnesota business growth has now lagged behind other states in our region.
Shannon represented her metro donors and voted for a $90 million Senate building that her district was against. She voted for a farm equipment repair tax that her district didn’t want. The bigger problem is she now denies knowingly voting for them. She is following the Democratic Party leadership orders, “You have to vote for the bill even if you don’t know what’s in it.”
