As a senior citizen, for the past two years I have watched to see what Minnesota government would do to or for us senior citizens. I am so grateful that Rep. Shannon Savick was in St. Paul to represent us.

Maybe because she herself has been around long enough to go through some tough times, she has done a good job of looking out for us seniors.

She increased aid to nursing homes. She increased badly needed money for income health providers so that we can stay in our homes as long as possible.

She voted to replace federal cuts to senior nutrition programs.

She fought for larger property tax refunds for the disabled and senior homeowners, (7,000 in our area).

I don’t want to go back to the time when I couldn’t count on my representative to look out for me, for us. Rep. Savick is one of us, and she knows and understands our issues.

Shannon makes seniors a priority!

So let’s return her to office by voting for her in November.
