The 42nd African Children’s Choir came to Albert Lea on Sept. 28 at the United Methodist Church. The African Children’s Choir was started in 1984 by human rights activist Ray Barnett. Since then, people across the United States and the world have seen the moving performance of the African Children’s Choir. The choir arrived in the United States on Aug. 29 and had its first show Sept. 5 in Wisconsin. After coming through Albert Lea the choir continued to tour the Midwest and will travel to Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Missouri this winter.
