SUPERIOR, Wis. — Four of five people charged in the death of a man during an attempted robbery in Superior remain in jail following court appearances.

All five were in Douglas County Circuit Court Monday.

A criminal complaint said 17-year-old Teah Phillips drove the four others to Garth Velin’s house last September. Twenty-year-old Kyham Dunn, 19-year-old Dallas Robinson and 17-year-old Chance Andrews allegedly went to get money from Velin. Phillips said she and 20-year-old Kane Robinson stayed in the car.

Andrews is charged with fatally shooting Velin. The others are charged as accomplices to felony murder.

Robinson and Phillips waived their preliminary hearings. Robinson asked for new counsel, postponing his arraignment, while Phillips was released on bail. Arraignments for the others are Dec. 3 and 4.
