Hoffman is about answers

There was a very informative meeting Wednesday at the Albert Lea City Hall. The discussion centered on the sewer and flooding problems in the Dane Bay area. I understand that it was an invitation-only meeting of the residents living in the affected area. One of the residents called my son that afternoon to ask that he attend the meeting. He requested this of Robert Hoffman so that the residents of the area would have a representative who has firsthand knowledge of what the city engineers, and his colleagues, are proposing to the city council.

Larry Baker was also in attendance. He appeared to be grandstanding with an attempt at re-election being his main objective. Mr. Baker stood up twice and asked the city officials to be allowed to address the group as part of this effort.

We need someone representing the 2nd Ward, and the entire city, who is listening to what is being proposed and someone who will act in a timely manner. Larry Baker talks about his eight years of experience, but it has been eight years of not resolving this and other problems our city faces.
