Memorial services for Lois J. Jensen will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church. The Rev. John Holt will officiate. Interment will be in Lakewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. Online condolences are welcome at www.bayviewfuneral.com.

Lois died Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Lois June Jensen was born Feb. 28, 1940, in Pepin, Wis., the daughter of William A. and Ruth M. (Jahnke) Marcks. She grew up in Pepin and graduated from high school there.

On Aug. 18, 1962, Lois was married to Roger A. Jensen at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bixby. Lois was retired from U.S. Bank where she worked as a banker in customer service for many years. She was a member of First Lutheran Church where she was active in the Altar Guild, Caring and Sharing and FLCW, was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Senior Center, the Women’s Investment Group and the Lois Club. Lois volunteered and was a board member for the American Red Cross and did volunteer work at First Lutheran. She enjoyed walking, playing golf, watching the Twins and Vikings games, and going to her grandchildren’s various activities.

Survivors include her husband, Roger; daughters Joan (Scott) Wichmann and Kristi Jensen; grandchildren Ryan Sneath, Tyler Wichmann, Tia Sneath and Tanner Wichmann; sisters Joyce Schafer, Virginia (Charles) Hetrick and Phyllis (Lynn) Seyffer; brothers Bernard Marcks and James Marcks; brothers-in-law Arthur Pittman, Gary (Roz) Jensen and Al Henke; sisters-in-law Mary Dahlke and Eileen Raetz; and many nieces and nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents William and Ruth Marcks; her brothers Raymond (Jeanette) Marcks, Ronald (Laurell) Marcks and Robert Marcks; her sisters Joan (Franklin) Glaus and Carole Pittman; brothers-in-law John Schafer, James Jensen and Richard Jensen; sister-in-law, Mavis Jensen; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church, the American Red Cross or the American Diabetes Association.
