7-Up/Snapple Group provides promotion

For the ninth year, 7-Up/Snapple Group has provided a military-related fundraising promotion, with more than $395,000 raised. On Thursday, the distributor gave $2,757 to the Albert Lea American Legion’s involvement with Operation Comfort Warriors.

According to a news release, Operation Comfort Warriors is a program dedicated to meeting the needs of wounded or ill military personnel by providing them with comfort items not usually supplied by the government.

Look for 7-Up/Snapple Group’s military display at the Hy-Vee store in Albert Lea. It will be a mix of soft drinks such as 7-Up, Dr. Pepper, Crush, A&W, Sun Drop, RC, Country Time and Snapple.

The distributor has given to Operation Comfort Warrior in places around the Midwest such as Des Moines to Jefferson City, Mo., to Peoria, Ill., among others.
