Frigid temps expected for New Year’s Eve revelers

CHANHASSEN — Forecasters say bitter cold temperatures will greet New Year’s revelers venturing outdoors.
A wind chill advisory is in effect for all of central and southern Minnesota and west central Wisconsin through 10 a.m. today. Temperatures with the wind chill will be in the 25 to 30 below range.
New Year’s Eve travelers can expect regular temperatures to stay below zero tonight. The National Weather Service said a chance of light snow moves in New Year’s Day for Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Storm trackers said significant snowfall over central and northern Minnesota could arrive this weekend.
