Mike and Lavonne Krueger of Alden and Willie and Pam Brooks of Lebanon, Tenn., announce the engagement of their children, Nicole Krueger and Joseph Brooks.

Nicole is the granddaughter of Nordean and Dorothy Krueger and Ben and Kathy Schoon, all of Albert Lea, and is the great-granddaughter of Hazel Krueger of Albert Lea.

She is a 2003 graduate of Alden-Conger High School and has her Bachelor of Arts from Dakota Wesleyan University in South Dakota and her masters in psychology from Capella University. She is currently working on her masters in social services at the University of Minnesota and is employed at Skyview Elementary School as a behavioral specialist.

Joseph is a 1998 graduate of Lebanon High School and is employed at Bennett’s Chop and Rail House in St. Paul.

A wedding is planned for Jan. 3, 2015, in Mount Juliet, Tenn.
