Man assaulted with bat
Albert Lea police received a report at 11:20 p.m. Sunday of a man who had reportedly been assaulted with a bat by three other males near Kwik Trip, 906 W. Front St. The report stated the man was not cooperative with police. How badly the man was injured is unclear.
1 Salvation Army kettle stolen, 1 found
A Salvation Army red kettle was reported stolen at 3:16 p.m. Friday at Dairy Queen, 2530 Bridge Ave.
A Salvation Army kettle was reported found at 10:22 p.m. Saturday in the garbage at Kwik Trip, 906 W. Front St. As of this morning, it was unclear where the kettle was taken.
1 arrested for DWI
Police arrested Calan Craig Kratz, 27, for third-degree driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 12:48 a.m. Saturday at 134 W. William St.
Hit-and-run crashes reported
A hit-and-run crash was reported at 7:19 p.m. Friday at Wendy’s, 2751 E. Main St.
A white 2004 Chevrolet Impala was struck while parked on the street at 12:37 p.m. Saturday at 2017 Greenwood Drive.
1 arrested for underage drinking
Albert Lea police arrested Samuel Salgado, 18, for underage drinking and driving after a traffic stop at 11:26 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Euclid Avenue and West Main Street. Alexander George Sueser, 18, and Seth Galen Kilian-Bock, 19, were cited for underage drinking.
Man cited for urinating in public
Police cited Kyle Chancellor Steele, 22, for disorderly conduct after he was reportedly urinating in public at 134 W. William St.
Items stolen from vehicle
Items were reported stolen from a vehicle at 7:21 p.m. Saturday at 118 E. Front St.
Burglary reported
A burglary was reported at 7:37 p.m. Saturday at 506 Minnesota Ave. A white Plymouth car was reportedly seen leaving the residence.
1 cited for theft, marijuana
Police cited Dontrat Daryll Deshion Petrie, 25, for possession of a small amount of marijuana and shoplifting at 4:38 a.m. today from Love’s truck stop, 2751 E. Main St.
2 arrested for drug possession
Police arrested Todd Curtis Brian Anderson, 30, and Anthony Charles Metcalf, 30, for fifth-degree drug possession after a traffic stop at 12:23 a.m. Sunday at 1619 W. Main St. Metcalf was also arrested for driving after revocation and a warrant.
Christmas lights stolen
Christmas lights were reported stolen at 11:46 a.m. Sunday from 1205 Marie Ave.
