Trying to find the perfect gift for your dog or cat but don’t know where to start?
The Tribune talked with Michelle Nelson, owner of Ranch & Pet Supply, and Tom Theesfeld of the Albert Lea Seed House about finding the perfect gift for pets.
“Pets are the last thing on the list, but people don’t forget about them,” Nelson said.
Here are three gift ideas from each store:

-
Bionic toys, $19.99, Ranch & Pet Supply
A durable toy that can be stuffed with treats such as peanut butter or yogurt, bionic toys are offered in different shapes and sizes. Nelson said they are perfect for the aggressive chewers and have a 30-day guarantee.

Fresh baked treats, $2.99, Ranch & Pet Supply
Made in a bakery out of New York, these treats are made of oatmeal with peanut butter and a yogurt frosting. They are decorated into everything from stockings, Christmas trees and gingerbread men to other shapes with festive colors.

Yeowww! catnip toys, $5, Ranch & Pet Supply
In the shape of a banana, this toy includes natural, organic catnip and would be a great stocking stuffer.
“This makes cats go crazy that don’t normally react to catnip,” Nelson said.

Rascals latex pig dog toy, $9.99, Albert Lea Seed House
Made in the shape of a pig, this dog toy makes pig sounds when squeezed. The toy also makes a great gag gift for humans, Theesfeld said.

Hunter Manufacturing adjustable Vikings collar, $11.99, Albert Lea Seed House
Made in three sizes to cover all sizes of dogs, this Vikings collar can show a pet’s team spirit. A huge fan? There are also Vikings leashes at the store.

Pet Factory large holiday dog stocking, $14.99, Albert Lea Seed House
Made up of a variety of rawhide treats in holiday colors, this stocking would be fun for any dog.
“It’s fun for kids to open stockings on Christmas, why not pets,” Theesfeld said.
