Gail Ann Rysavy, 57, of Geneva passed away at her home surrounded by her family Friday, Jan. 23, 2015. She was born March 19, 1957, in Owatonna to Ludwig and Colleen Borchert. Gail was raised south of Owatonna and graduated from Owatonna High School in 1975.

She was united in marriage to Michael John Rysavy in June of 1977. Gail enjoyed helping students learn while working at NRHEG schools. She worked the past 17 years at Cabela’s retail store in Owatonna. Gail enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She always had a smile on her face and approached everything with a positive attitude. Her various hobbies included flower gardening, attending craft shows, going camping, playing games and cruising in the Mustang.

Gail is survived by her mother, Colleen Borchert; husband, Michael Rysavy; children Ryan and Kate (Milbrandt) Rysavy, and Tim Rysavy; and brothers and sisters Patricia King and Richard Rabeneck, Rick Borchert and Valerie Silver, Karen and Frank Duncan, Randy and Lisa Borchert, and Todd and Vicki Borchert.

Gail is preceded in death by her father, Ludwig Borchert.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Brick Meger Funeral Home, 1603 Austin Road in Owatonna. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Litomysl Church with the Rev.
