HARTLAND — A 40-year-old man was injured Wednesday morning after a car reportedly rear-ended a snowplow on Minnesota Highway 13 near Hartland.
The 2013 International snowplow, driven by David J. Srp, 60, of Glenville, was south on Highway 13 making a left turn onto 305th Street at 7:32 a.m. when a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix attempted to pass and collided with the plow truck, hitting it’s left rear.
The driver of the car, Jeremy A. Peterson, 40, of Hartland, was transported by Gold Cross Ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for injuries deemed not life-threatening.
Srp was not injured.
The roadway was wet at the time of the crash after light snowfall overnight.
No alcohol was detected, and both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
The snowplow belonged to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
