Man runs vehicle into wall at mall

A man who reportedly suffered a seizure ran into a wall in front of a Dumpster at the Northbridge Mall Monday morning.

Police stated Tommy Duc Truong, 33, of Altamonte Springs, Florida, was driving a 2008 Honda Odyssey when he had a seizure and struck the wall on the west side of the building near Plaza Morena.

He was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea by Wells Ambulance to treat his medical condition.

 

Woman arrested for stolen vehicle

Police arrested Lila Mae Hecimovich, 34, of Ashland, Wisconsin, at 3:20 p.m. Friday after receiving a report from Wells Federal Bank that a woman had entered the bank asking questions about a heater, fiber optics and a methane bomb before leaving in a red van.

Albert Lea police, Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies and a Minnesota State Patrol trooper responded to the area and found a stolen 2013 Ford van near the north Bridge Avenue Kwik Trip.

Hecimovich was arrested for theft, bringing stolen goods into the state and receiving stolen property.

 

Man arrested for assault

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Cory Craig Bailey, 31, for domestic assault, fifth-degree assault and terroristic threats at 6:44 p.m. Sunday at 202 First Ave. S.E. in Geneva.

 

Scrap iron stolen

Scrap iron was reported stolen at 8:29 a.m. Saturday from Pete’s Service, 522 Johnson in Hartland.

 

Break-ins reported

Criminal damage to property and an attempted break-in was reported at 4 p.m. Monday at 134 W. William St.

A house was reported broken into at 12:27 p.m. Friday at 110 E. 11th St.

 

Hit-and-run reported

A hit-and-run crash was reported at 6:37 p.m. on Freeborn County Road 45 south of Clarks Grove.
