Memorial services for Mary C. Adams, 66, of Chaska, formerly of Albert Lea, will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Ascension Lutheran Church. The Rev. Mark Boorsma will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 6

Mary died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014, at University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis.

Mary Christine Adams was born Feb. 13, 1948, in New Ulm, the daughter of Alfred and Odney (Hjelmeland) Botten. She grew up on her parents’ farm in rural Hanska. Mary graduated from New Ulm High School and also from the Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester.

On Dec. 20, 1969, Mary was married to Terry Adams at Linden Church in Hanska. They lived in Iowa before moving to Minnesota in the mid-1970s. Mary worked for Naeve Hospital in the ICU and also as a home health and hospice nurse. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. Her faith and her family were the most important things in Mary’s life. Blessed be her memory.

Survivors include her children Chad (Amy) Adams, Brett (Kelly) Adams and Kristen (Hans) Rivrud; grandchildren Liam, Phoebe, Bjorn, Oskar and Nolan; mother, Odney Botten; siblings Allen (Paulette) Botten, John (Mary) Botten, Bev (Bill) Burk, Dale (Linda) Botten and Dean (Katie) Botten; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Alfred.
