Brigston works at Trail’s Travel Center and Baseman works at Hardee’s.

“This is definitely not what we had planned for our New Year’s,” Brigston said with a laugh.

Arianna definitely came as a surprise; she was originally due on Jan. 20.

While Arianna was the first baby born in 2015, there was another baby in the maternity ward on Friday. That child was born on Friday, according to a nurse at The Baby Place.

According to hospital records, 366 babies were born at The Baby Place in Mayo Clinic Health System of Albert Lea in 2014. Of that, 185 of the babies were girls and 181 were boys.
