Funeral services for Diane Mary Thisius, 55, of Albert Lea will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Thomas Niehaus and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Casimir’s Catholic Cemetery in Wells. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Diane died Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, at her home.

Diane Mary Thisius was born June 7, 1959, to Larry and Elizabeth “Betty” (Rauenhorst) Thisius. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church. Diane has been a resident of Elm Homes for many years and was given loving tender care by the wonderful staff there. Diane was employed by Cedar Valley Services in Albert Lea for over 30 years and enjoyed ARC, music activities, dances, watching movies and going out to eat with her family and friends. Diane had a great love for her family and was especially proud to be an aunt and godmother.

Diane will be dearly missed by her parents Larry and Betty Thisius; sister, Linda Sheely; brother, Dan (Rita) Thisius; and nephews and niece Michael (Whitney) Sheely, Thomas Sheely and Dylan, Brady, Linsey and Levi Thisius.

Diane was preceded in death by her sister, Karen; grandparents; and numerous aunts and uncles.
