Funeral services for Jan Johnson, 62, of Albert Lea will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home.  The Rev. Kyle Fever will officiate. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service. Jan died Friday, Feb. 20, 2015 at the Mayo Clinic Health System of Albert Lea.

Jeanette Marie Johnson was born January 22, 1953 in Albert Lea, the daughter of LaVerne Olson and Vera (Kaushagen) Olson.  She graduated from Albert Lea High School.  After graduation Jan worked as a computer operator for Queen’s Manufacturing and later for Fountain Industries.  She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea.  In her younger years, Jan was a Cub Scout Leader.  She enjoyed any type of fishing and watching the MN Twins.  For the last five years Jan had been living at the Good Samaritan Society where she enjoyed solving word searches and watching TV.  Jan filled her family’s hearts with love.

Survivors include her son, Casey Stanley; mother, Vera Olson; father, Vern (Joanne) Olson; sister, Deb (Gene) Drasher; brother, Roy Olson and several uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces.

Jan was preceded in death by her grandparents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
