The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources issued an outdoor burning ban for Freeborn County on Saturday.

The ban will remain in effect until further notice.

The National Weather Service has also issued a fire weather watch for the area. This watch is due to strong winds and low relative humidity.

Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
