Private family services for Julaine Gale Johnson, 64, of Hartland will be at Our Father’s House. Elders Charles Johnsrud and Donald Larson will officiate. Interment will be at Trenton Lake Cemetery. Julaine died Monday, March 16, 2015, at her home.

Julaine Gale Johnson was born Aug. 22, 1950, in the village of Taopi, the daughter of Harold and Norrine (Rockwell) Monson. Julaine grew up in rural LeRoy and graduated from Owatonna High School in 1968. She worked for several nursing homes in the area while continuing her education. She earned her RN degree and most recently worked as a registered nurse for Mapleton Community Home. She retired in December due to her health.

On Nov. 25, 1994, Julaine was united in marriage to James Johnson at Our Father’s House. She was a member at Our Father’s House where she enjoyed volunteering and was a member of the tambourine group for 17 years. Julaine enjoyed reading, traveling, bird watching, walking nature trails and spending time with her family and friends, especially listening to Jim’s many stories.

Survivors include her husband, Jim; children Troy Stursa and Bridget Retallick; grandchildren Nora, Nathan and Naomi Retallick; brother, Severt Monson; sister, Amber (Mark) Cameron; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

Julaine was preceded in death by her parents.
