The Albert Lea farmers market will have its annual meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Albert Lea American Legion, according to a press release.
The local farmers market is a nonprofit group that supports and assists local producers in marketing their products more efficiently and profitably, and provides customers with fresher, tastier and healthier products. Participants can sell vegetables, fruits, baked goods, eggs, jams and jellies, bedding plants, flowers, local crafts, meats and pickles according to state regulations. All items need to be produced or made by the seller unless approved by the board.
The local farmers market is open from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays at the municipal parking lot on North Broadway and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays in the Northbridge Mall parking lot near Herberger’s mid-May through October.
Anyone interested in joining the market can come to the meeting. Contact Gloria Schreiber at 507-448-3312 for more information.
